Thankful Most for What Money Can’t Buy

If you want to feel rich, just count all the gifts you have that money can’t buy.

As those of us in the U.S. take the day to reflect on what we are thankful for, I am reminded of all the really important things. The things that don’t come from a store.

As I hear about all of the people clamoring to the stores on Thanksgiving night to get the early deals on their Christmas shopping, I think about how wrapped up in things we are. I am grateful to be at home with my family.

I heard about a guy who camped out for two nights in front of an electronics store just so that he could be the first one in line when the store opened on Thanksgiving night. My father in-law called after driving home from our house this evening to tell us that the local Target store that he passed had a line that wrapped around the store twice. This year there are stores opening up with deals as early as 4pm on Thanksgiving day.

Lets take a minute to reflect on all of the things in our life that money can’t buy. After all, aren’t those the most important.
