The name of this blog is a play on words. The word Tao basically translates to mean “the path”. So I decided to call this blog “Along the Tao” as in “Along the Way” because it is my own account of my journey through the Tao Te Ching.
My interpretations of the verses from the Tao Te Ching are just that … my interpretations. I am not going out to study different ways that the meaning of the verses have been described or how scholars interpret their meanings. This is my raw thoughts and feelings that I am getting from reading these verses. I am also trying not to intellectualize the verses. Instead I am looking to feel the meanings. I am doing this through meditation and my yoga practice. By putting the words from the Tao Te Ching out there and repeating them to myself as I meditate or go through my yoga class, I am noticing what comes up for me.
So they may be wrong according to scholarly works or according to your thoughts on the meaning. I am ok with that.
